How to add a Consultant or candidate file to an RFP proposal
In this article
Usefulness of the candidate file
A candidate file allows you to respond to an RFP without immediately creating an account for the Consultant or revealing their identity.
This option is useful when:
- The Consultant does not yet have an account on the platform.
- You want to delay account creation until the RFP is appointed.
- You want to keep the Consultant anonymous during the proposal phase.
If you win an RFP and your proposal includes a candidate file, you must convert the candidate file into a Consultant profile before you can start the project.
How to add a Consultant or candidate file to an RFP proposal
Follow the steps below when responding to an RFP.
Step 1: Access the “Select a consultant or a candidate file” section
- Open the RFP response page.
- Scroll down to the Select a consultant or a candidate file section.
- Click Add.
Step 2: Choose the type of profile to add
In the window that opens, use the tabs to choose one of the following options:
Option 1: Add an associate collaborator (Create the profile of a collaborator)
Use this option to create an account for a Consultant.
You must enter at least:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Role on the platform (the Consultant role is selected by default)
Option 2: Add a candidate file (Create an application file)
Use this option to add a Consultant without creating an account.
- Upload the Consultant’s resume (CV) in PDF format.
- Enter a title for the document.
To improve the visibility of proposals that include candidate files, it is recommended to complete the optional First name and Last name fields.
If you need to keep the Consultant anonymous:
- Enter only a trigram in the name fields.
- Use the first letter of the first name and the first two letters of the last name.
Example: John Smith → First name: J / Last name: SM
You can also edit candidate files that are already associated with RFPs by following the steps described in the related article.
Step 3: Create the profile(s)
Click Create profiles at the bottom of the window to finalize the addition.
If you need to add several collaborators or candidate files:
- Complete the required fields for the first profile.
- Click Add another collaborator at the bottom of the window.
- Repeat the process as many times as necessary.
