Visibility and access to drafts
We have taken note of the fact, that the current experience with the feature of drafts within the Request for Proposals (RFP) process could be improved.
Notably, the number of drafts available in some accounts has been growing exponentially. Some of the reasons why this has been happening is because drafts were available to all users of the account instead of being limited by user.
Since certain client accounts hold numerous legal entities with similar needs, this could lead to the creation of nearly identical drafts to suit each particular entity, that were shown to all, instead of only those for whom it was most relevant.
In our continuous search for improvement of the LittleBig Connection platform, we have been working on some improvements concerning how drafts work and how to improve your experience with them.
.
Usage of drafts for Company Admin - Operationals or Managers
As a Company Administrator, it is possible that you may:
- Wish to create and save a draft on behalf of a particular Operational or Manager within an entity
- Need to interact with a specific draft to resolve a technical issue
- Want to impersonate a user (could be any user) and act on their behalf
As an Operational or Manager, it is possible that you may:
- Wish to create new RFPs
- Pause the creation of an RFP by saving a draft (and return to that work at any point in time)
Creation, view, edit and deletion rights of an RFP draft
From now on, if you have the role of Company Administrator, on the subject of drafts, you will be able to:
- See any RFP draft within the account
- Open any RFP draft within the account
- Edit any RFP draft within the account
- Delete any RFP draft within the account
Any other role, regardless of their position within the entity, will only be able to do the following operations:
- See
- Open
- Edit
- Delete RFP drafts
This would only apply to the content that has been created or modified by yourself only.

The Draft list page
Retrieval and population of the draft list page
A new page listing all the existing drafts will be added to the platform, here, as an administrator you will be able to see all the drafts within the organization.
You will be able to access it within the main page where you choose how to create your new RFP, within the third column, right under the dropdown menu as seen below, via the link titled See all my drafts:
Once you click on the link, you will be redirected to a newly created page called "My RFP drafts" where you will be able to see a historic of the drafts you have created.
Note however that you will only be able to retrieve the information from the drafts you have created.
As an administrator of the account, you are also able to access the "My RFP drafts" page. The main difference is that you will be able to view all the drafts created by all the users in the account.
To help you find the right draft quicker, you may sort out the content of the columns
|
Note that only Administrators are able to have access to all the content created in the account. Within the Draft list page, a supplementary column will become available only to account Administrators called "RFP Creator", to provide an additional sorting option. |
Within the main page, where you select the method of creation of your RFP, if you wish to use a draft to create an RFP, you may access the third column titled "Resume a draft" and find there directly the list of existing drafts in your account.
Simply click on the drop down under the icon and select from the list.
If the list is very long, you are able to use the empty field to search by key word, find and select the requested one.
Note that for Operationals and Managers, this feature is limited to the drafts where you are also the creator.
As an Administrator, you will not have this limitation and will be able to see, search and select any and all RFP drafts in the account.
